This SOMATIC project initiative aims to provide lots of information and evidence reviews, and public information about the possible roles that osteopaths can undertake when caring for mums and their new infants, with a special focus on infant feeding dysfunction. Paediatrics practice is an important part of the osteopathic scope of practice, and maternal and infant support is a key area of healthcare service provision that should be explored as fully as possible. Our project aims to support the care of mothers and their infants, and looks at ways osteopaths can help this vulnerable patient population, and contribute to interprofessional dialogue and care pathways. Any donation, no matter how small will be gratefully received and put to use solely in support of the project.
